Ensuring the longevity and structural integrity of your San Gairo garments.
The textiles we select are chosen for their weight, texture, and ability to age gracefully. However, these natural materials require deliberate maintenance. We view the care of a garment as an extension of the craftsmanship that created it—a ritual of preservation that respects the object's form.
We advocate for minimal intervention. Over-washing accelerates the degradation of fibers and alters the intended drape of the garment. Airing pieces out, spot cleaning, and adhering strictly to the specific care label instructions are the most effective methods for maintaining material integrity.
For our heavy cottons and specialized knits, we strongly advise against the use of industrial heat or harsh chemical solvents. Treat these objects with the patience they demand, and they will evolve with you over time.
